Mental Health Housing

Supportive Housing for Adults Living with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness

At Catholic Charities, we believe every person deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and compassion. Through our Mental Health Housing programs, we provide supportive, community-based living environments that help individuals build skills, strengthen relationships, and live as independently as possible.

St. Margaret’s and St. Michael’s Adult Foster Care Residences offer personalized support in a safe, stable setting where residents are encouraged to take an active role in their care and pursue their personal goals.

Program Features

Supportive Living Environment

St. Margaret’s and St. Michael’s Adult Foster Care Residences provide a safe, stable, and community-based living environment for adults with severe and persistent mental illness.

Building Independence

Our staff work alongside residents to develop the skills needed for greater independence and daily success.

Areas of focus include:

  • Daily living skills such as cooking, laundry, and housekeeping
  • Health and wellness, including medication management, nutrition, and personal hygiene
  • Independent living skills such as budgeting, paying bills, and employment readiness
  • Emotional wellness and behavior management
  • Communication, relationship building, conflict resolution, and social skills

Our goal is to help each resident gain confidence, build strengths, and live as independently as possible.

Community & Support Network

We believe lasting success is built on strong relationships. Staff work closely with residents and their support systems to promote stability, connection, and personal growth.

This includes ongoing collaboration with:

  • Family members and loved ones
  • Case managers and social workers
  • Physicians and healthcare providers
  • Counselors and mental health professionals

By maintaining open communication and coordinated care, we help residents build meaningful connections both at home and in the community.
